I was supposed to work on Sunday, but apparently the universe thought it better for me to cut my head open on Saturday night. Long story involving me, a bedskirt with a gaping hole in it, my klutzy feet, and the corner of a door. Yay, four stitches! Ouch.

Am fine now (save the four stitches which are occasionally owie). I'll be in Tewksbury tonight
again, most likely, and there is no internet access. There is, however, cellular access.

Call meeeee! (Erm. Leave a message if you can't reach me as my phone is either in the car or in my coat pocket, neither of which are within earshot.)

Wow. I hope you have an effective workplace violence prevention policy. Of course having adequate staffing levels is half the battle.

Our unit is actually one of the least violent in the hospital. Our quiet room is rarely used, and when there is an issue, we get lots of staff (read: big giant guys) to basically stand around so that the person knows that they probably won't win this one.
