eeeeeee, I am so excited!

And it's a standalone, so I don't have to go back and watch those couple of seasons I didn't watch. I might anyway, but I don't have to. I just don't know if I can, because after, well, you know, that thing that happened to that guy, I just couldn't do it anymore. But the movie, oh, yes, absolutely. Especially with the added CKR.

Speaking of which (whom?) [livejournal.com profile] scriggle has a very nice picture over at her place.

OMG, word. They left the very non-XFiley West Coast of CA and went back to misty, creepy 'ole Vancouver-ish to shoot it - AND CC (*instinctive growl*) did not issue any denials when asked point blank if any non-Mulder/Scully familiar faces might show up.

I know this is a one-off story, but what's with the oily eyes Billy Connelly's sportin'? I sorta remember a certain beautiful triple agent sportin' the same look once or twice. I've got my fingers crossed that they'll at least reference the old mythology arc.

Also? You really should watch those last couple seasons. Yeah, the new chick wasn't so good, but Robert Patrick wasn't awful, and you can always tell yourself it was all a dream of Mulder's.

At any rate, I am so there. So very, very there.

Thank every god in every pantheon. Sunny did NOT work for TXF.

Yeah, me too.

It wasn't just the new people--I thought the writing went way downhill. Robert Patrick was pretty good, given the material, and I give him credit for being deliberately and entirely NOT Mulder (which would have sucked). I refuse to give CC credit for any of it because I'm still mad at him. I may just feel a little warmer towards him if this film is any good (which it looks like it might be).

At any rate, I am so there. So very, very there.

Maybe we should be very there together? If it opens the same day in Canada, that is. Which I'm thinking it might since it's filmed there and is chock-full of Canadian actors (likeCKROMGYAY!).

Also? We should think about Second City again, because [livejournal.com profile] mr_t00by would love it. As would I.

You're right on that one. You could certainly tell that the writing staff and CC (*instinctive growl*) were eager to move on. Which stinks, because after nine years, you owe both the characters and the fans decent closure.

I thought about that, but I don't think there's going to be time. Cher and I are arriving in London sometime Saturday afternoon, Hamlet starts at 8pm that night, runs for about 3 hours, and the next day, Romeo and Juliet starts at 2pm, and Cher and I are leaving for home as soon as it finishes. Money and her kids dictate that we're in and out in just over 24 hours. Unfortunately, that means no Second City for us.
