In related news, I can't get the video stream to work on C-SPAN, so I'm watching it on CPAC (which is webcasting both the US VP debate AND the Canadian English-language Leaders' debate). Is "ironic" the right word? Something like that.

Also, no love, US and Canada, for scheduling both debates for the SAME TIME. WTF?

Did Harper take his Valium this time? The recap of the French debate (and the tiny bit I saw of it before the translator broke my brain) seemed to think he was "a little too Prime Ministerial" (translation: there may have been worry that he'd fall asleep).

Jack Layton apparently actually WANTS to be PM. My theory is that he has to stop looking like the video professor guy first.

I didn't see the French debate so I don't know. He's still a cyborg.

Also HEE, Jack Layton. You are so right. He just doesn't LOOK PM-like. But neither does the PM, so. And I like the NDP.

I think I might vote NDP this time. I like our local candidate, too. :D

If I weren't so bent on Obama getting elected, it would be hysterical to write in Jack Layton in November. Or Elizabeth May, since IIRC she was born in the US and could legally be elected President.

My local NDP guy is from the US. :D

But, yeah, that'd be fun. That's why we have black ballots, here, to avoid those shenanigans! I've already got about eight choices anyway...

The ballots are black with white text and white circles for pencilling in your X. There is no space to write in another name.

Not that you can't see the graphite on the black in the right light, but in principle!
