How do you say 'prorogue' in French?

Who needs reality television when you have Canadian politics?

Stephane Dion's tape was late. *headdesk*

Indeed, and slightly cut off at the beginning. Plus the CBC had some dead air, there. Fail.

It didn't come off as well-prepared. Then again, I'll take that over plain creepy.

I dunno about that. M. Dion was siting waaay too close to the camera. That was sorta creepy.

I forgave him because he had the Best. Line. Ever. "Consensus is a great Canadian value". He said this in a major speech to an entire country so they'd LIKE him. I'm trying to imagine which President would have been able to say "Consensus is a great American value" and get away with it, i.e., not be immediately assassinated/impeached/laughed out of Washington.

But it's human-creepy instead of robot-creepy.

"Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" =/= "Peace, order, and good government." *g*

Then again, your guys don't like consensus, and it's ours who get to yell at each other across aisles. Fun times.

I've always had major problems with 'the pursuit of happiness' being an 'inalienable right'. Life and liberty, sure, I hope the whole world has that one day, but the right to pursue happiness? I mean, come on. Some people's idea of happiness might be going around slaughtering old ladies.

Then again, your guys don't like consensus, and it's ours who get to yell at each other across aisles. Fun times.

What we need to do is form our own government on the platform of All Those Other Guys are Schmucks Anyway.
