And okay, so I get why this happened, and it's a nice gesture on one level, but did anyone stop to think of the DOG? It's like, okay, dog, you're a hero, so as a reward you get RIPPED AWAY FROM YOUR FAMILY. Not. On.


In a related thought, these kinds of stories are another example of why another ds_northernnews challenge would be a wonderful thing.

How could she have thought that was a good idea? Especially as her sons didn't want to. Who knows the dog may only have gone after the toddler because of the experiences his own family had taught him.
