pouvez-vous m'aider s'il vous plaît?

So I'm thinking of ordering some BPAL, but the sheer amount of selections is overwhelming. I have no idea where to look first. I've been to the website quite a few times, and usually have run brain-hurty from the virtual room because there are just so many choices. But wah, I really want to get me some BPAL, so um.

So, all you BPAL fans out there: What's the best way to figure out what I want? I'm all about the dark and spicy scents.when I do buy florals they're usually kind of heavy ones; I'm really not about the light, sweet, and airy at all (and I'm assuming there's not a lot of that with BPAL anyway?).

I'm a BPAL fan, and like you, prefer scents that are resinous, spicy and mysterious. Without getting into the realm of Limited Editions that are no longer available, I would recommend looking into Snake Oil (the undisputed classic), Mme. Moriarty (from Carnival Diabolique), Shub-Niggurath, Morocco, Anne Bonney, Scherezade, Voodoo, Bengal...those are all sexy, spicy scents that are pretty much universally liked in the BPAL world.

Also, join the BPAL.org forum, and you can read multiple reviews on every scent ever made. It's a rather complicated process, as scents are not listed alphabetically but rather by category.

Have fun!

Czernobog, d00d. :) It's dark and woody and just utterly divine. People either seem to love it or hate it.

I love some of the more "masculine" scents, too. Patchoulli and I don't get along, but just about anything woody makes me happy. :)

I'm a fan of patchouli, but usually like to mix it with sandalwood or myrrh or something like that.

Ooh, there's a forum! I'll definitely check it out. Also, Shub-Nuggurath ftw! I don't know what it smells like, but it's Lovecraft, so therefore made of win. :D
