There hasn't been much commercial fishing on the Lakes in a long time. Tons of sport fishing, but to be honest, I've never seen a commercial fishing boat on any of the Lakes. Tons and tons of huge freighters, though, full up with guys who know how to debauch, but they're not going to spend a week, or even a day, in Mackinaw, since freighters don't dock anywhere near the the Tip of the Mitten.
