do you know what's in your cosmetics?

Apparently there is legislation tabled (in the US) to help deal with the problem, but I don't think anything's been voted on. I'm also interested in what the rest of the world is doing to regulate the industry (I'm guessing it's more than the US has, which until the recent legislation has been pretty much nothing). Anyone know? I could look it up, but I really, really should be doing my PowerPoint slides.

Thanks for posting this, this is a very important video. People really don't seem to pay attention. We've started shopping for our products at places like the Natural Food Pantry here in Ottawa, where the ingredients really aren't harmful. Most of the labels contain ingredients that each and every one of us know without having to consult the internet for translation.

What are the laws in Canada? I know Canadian standards for drugs and food tend to be more strict than ours, but I don't know anything about how(or if) you guys regulate cosmetics.
