Baaa. Baaa.
Jun. 17th, 2004 07:39 pmThere's a huge chunk of you out there whose LJs I read every day - but in a lot of cases, I don't know how old a lot of you are, or where you live, or basic, normal things.
This is the problem with LJ - we all think we are so close, and while we know about the day-to-day, there's still a lot we don't know about each other. So let's rectify it.
I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. I promise, I will not make fun of you, or say who asked what; I won't divulge any social security numbers and stuff, but I'll try to answer everything - personal, fandom - whatever.
I then invite you to do the same. Remember, seriously basic stupid questions, don't be embarrassed, you would be really shocked what I don't know about you.
I love this meme! Do ask, I'll answer. Anonymous questions okay, but I'd really like to know who you are!
Edit: IP logging off, yes.

Date: 2004-06-17 06:44 pm (UTC)I love it here. I don't know if I could really call anywhere else home. I love the change of seasons (especially Autumn), the history, the cynical-yet-kind attitude that seems to pervade all of New England. I like the mountains of Western Massachusetts and Vermont and the coasts of Rhode Island and Maine. I fannishly love that Stephen King is a New Englander, as was Robert Frost. *g* And of course, I love the Red Sox with a love that's probably waay too eccentric. I love Boston generally, and I hope to someday be able to live there, at least for a short period of time.
I hate New England Winters. As much as I love the change of seasons, I don't much like the approach of winter. It's cold, wet, slushy, icky and did I mention cold? Also, NE is whiter, ethnically speaking, than many regions of the country. I wish we had more ethnic diversity (although we do have a fairly large contingency of Portuguese, Italian, Irish and French Canadian).
The good outweighs the bad, and unless I'm considering leaving the country (which I am, at least for a little while), you wont see me leaving New England.

Hannah (who blatantly refuses to get a LJ, despite my cajoling) is seventeen.

Isaac's actually sort of in the fandom, mostly because he's been prodded by the likes of

Date: 2004-06-21 09:44 am (UTC)When I was younger I got along with my Dad pretty well(he died in 1989), although we weren't very close because he lived out of state. My stepdad, who died in 1998, was my second father and we almost never had an argument while I was growing up.
Oh, and my stepdad drove a van just like the one in my icon! Nope, he wasn't a hippie. He drove the VW to work at Raytheon in his crisp white starched shirt and tie. *g*
