In other news, I missed the debate last night because the DVD is hooked up to the the telly and the cable isn't, and I don't know how to switch them, and I didn't feel like asking anyone. So bleh. Who won?

My computer virus seems to be gone, thanks to reinstallage of Windows XP. *prays* Unfortunately, my favourites list AND Photoshop are now gone. Eep.

HR person from hospital has not called me back. Irk. I want that job, dagnabbit. Will call them forthwith. Fifthwith even.

I just had the war come up and smack me on the arse. Fortunately that's all it was. patchfire linked me to this news story. My best friend's son M is in the 173rd Airborne, and has been in Northern Iraq for some time. I couldn't call my friend to ask her if M was all right, so I had to wait for my mom to get to work (she had already left). It was an hour of sheer panic, in which time I called my sister, who also wasn't home. I finally got my mom, who told me that M had left Iraq a couple of days ago.

This genius of a musician could sing anything, from Rogers and Hammerstein to Dylan to Marvin Gaye to his own incredible rock-and-roll. If you can get a copy of his Don't Explain CD, do it. I think it's out of print as of very recently (I bought the last copy at one store about a month ago). I've been a fan of his for years; this is the album that caused it.

Brilliant man, decent guy, too young. Why are all the best musicians going? Who's next? I don't even want to begin to speculate.

Geez. I'm just HappyPerky!Girl today, aren't I? :/
