Yes. Oh, yes.

Now, off to clean. I. Must. Clean.

[livejournal.com profile] moony, are you still coming next week?

Who says you can't have it all?

Wow, that's beautiful. It's also more and more wonderful, for me, to hear from women who've had their children later in life. I know that will be the case for me. I remember when I was a kid and my mom was the "room mother" in my class at school -- she would make cupcakes for holidays and chaperone field trips and stuff, and I loved it. But I was always aware too, though, that my mom was older than my friends' moms (I was born when she was 31 -- considered back in 1975 to be mighty damn late in her life). It's so nice to know that even if I don't have my first child until I'm 35 or so, I may well be among my own peers when I'm a "room mother" at school.

I think about having more kids even now, and I'm 44. There'd be surgery and probably IVF involved, though, so bleh.

Okay, so the "surgery" part doesn't sound like fun at all. But IVF -- it's expensive, and the odds aren't ideal, but hey, if you want it, I say go for it. 44 is plenty young enough to have another baby! Have you heard of Single Mothers By Choice (http://mattes.home.pipeline.com/)? This has been a big resource for me already. You might enjoy a prowl around their site.

Wouldn't you find it weird to have a child and grandchildren at or very close to the same age cause I know that having Luke and Hope that close to our children's age is wierd. I am not saying not to do it just a question?

I do too, at 42. It's hard to acknowledge my childbearing days are over sometimes. But to be perfectly honest, I don't think I'd have the energy to raise another baby/toddler. And yet... :o)

I think part of it is that I know I'd be a much better mother now than when I was when I was in my twenties. But still, when I see how terrific my kids turned/are turning out, I must have done something right.

I am still coming! I land on Saturday night, and [livejournal.com profile] heinous_bitca is picking me up and installing me on her couch for the night. :-) She's actually in the city I am going to, so it works out good. You are a snoo, though. :-*

I will be around in October for most of the month, then I'm gone until the first week of December - but I am sticking around for Christmas! Plenty of opportunity for t00bage. :-D
