Aww...thank you! I do love that stove, it is still my Dream Stove, that Tappan Range. I have found them on eBay for around $400, which would be very reasonable to me if I had a home into which it would fit. (I wonder what I was making there? I had that old Green Cookbook out...)
I have many wonderful memories (and many wonderful pictures) of the backyard pool, which we were "helping" in some way to intall in the second picture. I remember using our aluminum "Flying Saucer" sleds to pack down the sand, and then using a level to check the Perfection of Flatness.
Wouldn't you love to be able to spend even just one day back then, again?
