Some covers for you!

Ani Difranco - Do Re Mi
I've loved this song since I first heard it sung by Nanci Griffith years ago. It's a perfect tribute. It was a political statement back in the Dust Bowl Days, and Ani's made it into a completely new one in her own unique way. Woody would be pleased. Buy Till We Outnumber 'Em here.
The Indigo Girls - Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters
Here the Girls sing a piece from Elton John's Honky Chateau, doing Elton and Bernie justice and then some in the process. Their famous harmonies pull the listener into the music--it's easy to get caught up in the lyrics, in a very good way. Buy Rarities here.
Ewan McGregor - Gimme Danger.
I've never heard Iggy Pop's version of this (something which I must rectify!), but this cover is just fabulous. Since Moulin Rouge, people are realising that Ewan McGregor has a good voice, but Velvet Goldmine isn't something a lot of people have seen, outside its cult fans (of which I am most definitely one--it's my very favourite movie ever), so it's not well-known that he can rock. This song isn't on the movie's OST; I'm not sure it's available as anything but an mp3 (if anyone has any other sources, I'd love to know!). You can buy the OST here.
