Would I be terribly out of line, as a pastor's daughter, if I offered the non-religious idea of "if you're religious, you're an idiot"?

I'm more like, "if you want to risk your baby's life for superstition, you're an idiot."

I'm not dogmatically religous (I don't know any Unitarians who are, actually), but I know puite a few religious people who'd never try something this stupid. And the fact that there are "professionals" who WOULD give her what she wants is even worse.

YOu do have a point, though. People do a lot of really stupid (and sometimes horrible) things in the name of their god of choice.
