Look at what [livejournal.com profile] npirie made me! I'll be tweaking the text on the comments and such in the next few days.

Isn't it gorgeous? It makes me happy. :)

Thank you, thank you, dear, so much. *twirls you*

It's beautiful! I love it! Love the mood theme, everything.

Dammit, my Colbert icon is gonna look tacky here, but it needs to be used!

The mood theme's been there for a while. It clashes, but it's what I have right now. Still pretty, though. *g*

My default icon is part of the same story the layout is from. I highly recommend it. The story, that is.

It does! My current default icon fits the story and the season, which is cool. I just couldn't keep Geoffrey up there; he clashed, alas. *g*

damn that clashing geoffrey! *shakes fist*

praps gross should star in the television adaptation just so we can get the image for your Lj. how does he look in a hat and holster, i wonder? *d'oh!!*

Nope, 'cause it wouldn't be Geoffrey. Paul's pretty and smart and all, but Geoffrey's my fake!boyfriend.

Besides, he'd make a terrible Roland. Callum Keith Rennie, now, there's someone I could see as Roland (that's Roland in the layout picture).

I mean, just look. When (and I do mean WHEN) you get to read the story, you can tell me if this is not young!Roland:

Now that Callum's older, it would SO work, because Roland's supposed to look about the age Callum is now. That's Roland in my icon, not that you can tell much. It's an illustration from one of the books.

Eddie Dean, of course, is this guy:

Unfortunately he'd have to go in the wayback machine, because despite the fact that he still has that baby face today, he couldn't pass as early twenties anymore. But hey, it's my dreamcast, right?

Thus ends this lesson in DT knowledge. :) For more info, you'll have to go here . *pimps* You think I pimp S&A? This story is my favourite of any in the known universe, so naturally I feel that anyone who hasn't read it is missing out. Yes, I'm a geek. :)

aaawwwwwwwww ---

i'm not going to discount paul gross for the moment. i take your point. i know the type. but listen, meryl streep can play an old jewish rabbi better than any man i've ever seen. this means actors can do *anything* :D :D :D i have faith. transformative performative. *nod* i can see it.

and yes, i can't be my brother's sister if i don't soon acquire DT familiarity. *gets on that*

Oh, I'm sure he could DO the role, but he'd be hard-pressed to affect the look of an Old West-esque gunslinger (although the story isn't set in OUR Old West), is all, without a LOT of makeup, which Meryl most likely had. Callum has the face and the look already sewed up. He's not quite tall enough, but eh.

[livejournal.com profile] peacey has suggested Daniel Craig. I'm putting him on the list, also.
