Hopefully there'll be some sense in the government when the Democrats are in power again, although I find myself agreeing more and more often with this. Not to mention that having a Democrat-controlled congress will most likely involve the loss of one of the only Republicans with their head where it should be. *sigh*

*points to icon* That there is Lincoln Chafee, aka the only Republican Senator who voted against the war in Iraq. It looks like he won't get re-elected, because the Republicans don't think he's Republican enough, and the Democrats won't vote for him because he's a Republican. *sigh*

American politics. It's really best not to go there if you don't have to. :)
