Around the time he was born, in the very early 1900s, Native Americans were brought to London to do circus acts - Long Wolf was buried in a London cemetery, and exhumed and returned to South Dakota (Pine Ridge) 105 years later. It had been his dying wish to go home...
I think we must have been part of Long Wolf's tribe - it certainly fits with what Pop used to tell the kids. He was Oglala Lakota, too.
