This is depressing:

And, er. Whoever made this map needs to change the whole code, not just the map part. It says, "visited 4 states (30%)". Also, the coding says "visitedCanadianStates". Dear page coder: I have not visited a single state in Canada, you ignoramus. And besides, you're trying to tell me that 4 provinces is 30% of Canada? I don't think so. :/
This is also depressing:

This is really depressing:

At least they didn't say "visited 21 provinces", If this were a map of China, this would actually be possible. *g*
I've got to travel more, obviously.

Date: 2006-12-06 06:02 pm (UTC)As long as you come down here and take the train to NOLA with us, you'll go through AL and MS. Not that you're missing much by not visiting them.

All east of the Mississippi, bar one. Sigh.

Date: 2006-12-06 06:06 pm (UTC)You and me, we gotta do Northern New England.
And then we can head Northeast(no subject)
Date: 2006-12-06 06:56 pm (UTC)We should do no. NE. And a bunch of other places, too. Like, oh, anything west of the Mississippi. I've heard tell it's flat out there (except the Rockies, o'course).
I really can't imagine flat.

Hubby and I (mostly me) have been seriously talking about emigrating to either Nova Scotia or the Yukon. Obviously there is a slight difference between the two so we still need to talk about it (and perhaps visit the Yukon to check it out, something I am dying to add to my list). I listen to CBC's podcasts of the "North/Nova Scotia this week" to try and help me decide. It hasn't helped much.
Ooh I never talk about my private life generally, you should feel honoured ;-)

The other part of me says, "shut up, you idiot, it's December. The coldest months haven't even begun yet and you're already shivery 24/7. Wrap up in a blanket, brew a cup of tea, and drag the bookcase over to the couch. You can travel in the spring."
And yet I'm dreaming of the 49th parallel. And Australia. O.o

I obviously need to get to the south and the mid-west. Though after next week, I'll be able to add Wisconsin to the list.
As for Canada, I've only been to Quebec and Ontario. And countries: Canada, France, UK, Belize, Guatemala, and of course the US.

Date: 2006-12-07 01:35 am (UTC)I've never been to the Yukon. It sounds cold. My ex-husband went through a phase where he was obsessed with the coldest parts of Canada. He's from Connecticut. Go figure. I think he's still got a little of that, because he sat down and read a whole bunch of the website I opened for him about Nunavut at Thankgsiving. Brr.

Oh, I am. :) I talk about myself, but it's pretty much almost always unintelligible gibberish. *g*

This one makes me feel slightly cooler, but also makes me wonder WHY I haven't been to Ontario. It wasn't that far from Massachusetts!

Date: 2006-12-08 01:52 pm (UTC)I'm trying to decide what I want to do, now. I've wanted to go to New Orleans since I started laying the saxophone in the third grade -- and the opportunity to explore the city is wide open in May... but the timing is looking less and less wonderful for work and HP is interesting me less each day (though all you people are interesting me even more!). And I've wanted to do a week-long bicycle/camping tour of PEI since I read the Anne books in fifth grade. I'm feeling an even stronger tug to do that NOW, while I still live in relative proximity.
Oh, I need to stop thinking this. It's not like I can make plans for certain until I know when Chel arrives in London. Dreams, dreams are everything. :-)
