Also, I need suggestions as to what colour to paint his room (note ugly walls in background). He's not giving me any suggestions except "blue". Anything's better than that mud-brown it is now.

I could fangirl. Now, I really must know the name of the song and the artist, because yeah, good tuneage, mr_t00by.

Vis-a-vis paint, I'm definitely thinking something on the darker end of the blue spectrum. Something just past a sort of standard "denim" blue, maybe, with a bit of indigo in there?
