I. Am a geek. Totally, irrevocably.

I've been reading this book since right before Nimbus, and it's brought me right back to my bedroom in northeastern Massachusetts, back to the early-to-mid seventies, to where I brought home this LP for the first time. I spent five bucks on it, and it opened up my music obsession, which I'm ten times as geeky about as any fandom I've ever been in. Really. I've been listening to my Classic Elton CDs pretty much nonstop since I've gotten back, and am wallowing in geekdom and worshipping at the Holy Shrine of Taupin in spades. How can I not with lyrics like

Very cool! Perhaps I will have a peek later. ;) I just find it tough to keep up with RP games I'm not in.. I usually accidentally forget to check for awhile, and then I have to catch up so I'm not lost, etc and so on.

I absolutely love Elton John. Had the immense pleasure of seeing him in concert in '97 and it was, perhaps, the best live show I've ever attended. I recently purchased his new double-disk, career-spanning greatest hits collection and it's about all I've listened to ever since.

If having impeccable taste in music makes one a geek, then I hope you continue to geek on ;)

Eek.. I play Piotr Rasputin in x_project, Rabastan Lestrange in mapmakers, Adrian Pucey in asphodel (but I am fairly new to that game and it's kind of.. not doing anything right now! >:0) and Harry in glockgal and mistermaki's game that actually hasn't started yet. I also play a few characters in another friends game, but it's all original characters, non-fandomy. I like playing minor characters, and I mostly enjoy the one-on-one rping. :)

I saw Elton a few years ago; a dream come true, I tell you. Fifty-something and still able to play the piano from under it. Wow.

I wish he'd keep writing with Bernie. The two of them made magic.

They're fabulous.. unfortunatly le mod (KYM) is all down on HP right now, so nothing is really going on, and people don't post too often. :( The best characters are The Weird Sisters.. they're hilarious. :D
