I drew a map of Canada with your face sketched on it twice

This post is partly [livejournal.com profile] bjohan57's fault, because when I told her I was going to do it she thought it was a good idea.

I should have been finished after I did the capping like two weeks ago, but I figured out that hey! I have the DVD of this thing, so I can make bigger caps without resizing and sacrificing quality. So I deleted all the old caps, went back and recapped the whole thing.

See, that's why I don't do a lot of picspam. I hyperfocus. I suppose I could blame the ADD. Yeah, I know. You won't believe me.

Okay, now to drive for an hour and have Easter brunch with family, and try to figure out how I'm going to pay for it and still buy gas. And then work a double shift. Yay, my life!

If there's a religion where the saints look like this, where do I go to convert?

I found out that the DVD has a higher resolution and so it makes bigger screencaps. I only wish I had the DVD version of everything I cap.

Happy Easter brunch, dear. *hugs*

It was a very yummy Easter brunch, except where they were cheapskates and charged for every drink, even juice which usually is offered as part of the buffet. Eighteen bucks should at least get me a cranberry juice. But the food was yum.

Happy Ostara/Easter/etc! *cuddles*

[identity profile] patchfire.livejournal.com 2008-03-24 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
Also BIRFDAY! Which you might recall being present at. ;)

And he never has to share his birthday with Easter again, unless he lives to the age of 155. Since this seems unlikely, I think it's safe to say he will not. Hee.

It's like he borrowed hotness from seven other people who weren't using it at the moment. It's not normal to look like that.

A couple of those middle pics are so Baby!Geoffrey it isn't even funny. *stares* And the weird thing is, Grownup!Geoffrey is just as hot. I don't get it.

[identity profile] bjohan57.livejournal.com 2008-03-23 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
It's an easy equation in my mind:

Baby!Geoffrey = Gus Knickle
Gus Knickle = Paul Gross
Paul Gross = Geoffrey Tennant
Geoffrey Tennant = Grownup!Geoffrey

Therefore, x=y

or, in other words,

Baby!Geoffrey=Grownup!Geoffrey

Therefore, they have equal hotness levels.

This is not the extent of the capping I did. I have a bunch more, but figured that maybe people on dial-up didn't want to wait a year for the page to load.

[identity profile] bjohan57.livejournal.com 2008-03-23 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
A two-part series? :)

I'm completely jealous that you have this on DVD BTW. I have Buffalo Jump coming my way in the next week for my birthday, but BoS is just...fishing porn.

I really love the film, besides the fishing porn. I lived for a long time in a town very similar to Solomon Gundy, down to the look of the town meetings. I used to go and bring my knitting. It's very nostalgic for me.

I got the DVD used from Amazon. Cheap. I'd get it copied for you, but I don't think your player is the same region as mine.

[identity profile] bjohan57.livejournal.com 2008-03-23 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I now live in a place which is not dissimiliar, and me and me 'usband are talking about moving to somewhere which is even more similar. Perhaps that is why it calls out to me. I've never seen a Gus though...dammit.

And, cough, I have a multi-region DVD player. Not that I'm hinting or anything LOL. :)

Ooh, pretty! Alas, Block Island's First Wardens (the name that for some silly reason they call their mayors) don't have a lot to offer in the pretty department. But once they tried to secede from Rhode Island. Something about mopeds.

I have never set foot in the UK, and it's a crying shame. It's on the list. This year, apparently, I'm going to Ontario and Ontario. And oh, yeah. Ontario. But there are reasons for each trip.

I'll see if I can get my daughter to copy the DVD. I can't promise when, but I'll see what I can do.

[identity profile] bjohan57.livejournal.com 2008-03-23 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I still fully support this post and really do think it is a good idea.

#19 really does things for me. Ah hell, they all do.

God, I still haven't seen this one! I watched it years and years ago just after dS first aired. These caps are starting to convince me that I should finally get organized and watch the film...

Oh, you so should! It's a fun little film. I love the whole East-coast island thing because I've spent a lot of time on an East-coast island (with 800 year-round residents). The coastie stuff transcends nations, apparently.

The hotness in 53 - 55 requires immediate ventilation. /fans self.

Especially cause I'm familiar with clerical collars as Catholic clergy only, so the combination of bare arms + collar + tender female proximity is the stuff of wild fantasy.

Which of course leads me to the thought that wouldn't the world have been a better place if PG had been around to play all those Richard Chamberlain roles?

Thanks for the picspam -- excellent timing.

Ooh, and Molly Parker could have been the female lead in The Thorn Birds. Although RC was pretty gorgeous back in the day. Not quite on the same level, but not bad at all.

I may have noticed.

And yes, you need to watch it. It's a very quirky little black-ish comedy.

Oh Lord, an Easter miracle! I haz got religion here! It is Easter and I just stumbled onto your epic picspam while looking for some Paul Gross stuff.

Gus Knickel = simultaneously heavenly and hot as hell.
