I could rant for an hour about the oil sands and how awful they are. No amount of money is worth raping land like that, especially near the boreal forest. :/
I commute an hour to work. The car I had was okay with mileage, but it's still too much. I'm trying to figure out another way to get to work (which I may have to do if I don't get my car angst dealt with soon).
An hour? Youch. My hubby and I made sure where we lived had easy access to transit. He buses to work. Because I work at different places every time I DO work, I'm really glad I have an efficient reliable car! *hugs it*
And sadly, the destruction always happens where the money is. Sigh.
I was living two minutes from work, but the place I'm in now is rent-free and saves me almost nine hundred bucks/month. Yeah, gas is expensive, but it's not nine hundred bucks a month. Hopefully I'll get to train in and back once I start working nights in mid-May.
I am still waiting for a hybrid that can fit three carseats. :P
So, when we're up there in May, are there any farms we can visit? Jacob wants to go to a farm with a "big red barn" and I thought surely in pastoral NE there are some somewhere, yeah? :)
