where have you gone, george harrison?

Here's a list of organizations providing aid to Myanmar/Burma.

I really want to do something to help out and throwing money doesn't seem like much, and I don't have much, but they really DO need it. I wish I could just go there and help, you know? Not gonna happen, but still.

We could sure use this guy right about now:

Also,

people in glass White Houses, and all that.

In other news, Stephen King is made of so much awesome it's not even funny.

Stephen King is one of those people you'd want to be able to sit down and have a long conversation with. Sort of Marilyn Manson. Both really smart guys.

Did you see this? I can't stand catty. :P

Exactly! He's at the top of my list of living people I'd want to have dinner with.

I can't stand catty. :P

Now, that's just silly. I hope she's learned how to be a better campaigner in the last eight months or so.

I'm off to Boston now. Apparently I've replaced the cinnamon toast craving with an obsession with taking the train to Boston. I blame the fact that the commuter rail is about two miles from here.

Please come to Boston in the Springtime

I have repeated cravings for CPK. Go figure.

California Pizza Kitchen, silly. :)

So, because my jaw hurts - long story - it looks like we're going to get to your neck of the woods on the 16th and probably have to leave the 22nd. My mum wants to know recommendations for where to stay, hotel-wise. I told you that Gillian wants to check out Plymouth Rock. My only demands center around food. Like seafood. Also Italian. And that sandwich place.

*sigh*

Well, I WAS going to Boston, but I sort of misplaced my wallet, so I'll have to wait until Friday. Wallet is a)in the house somewhere that I can't locate, b)in the car someplace that I can't locate c)at the Sushi place which does not open until 4 p.m., or d)in the possession of someone who stole it out of my car. The likely locations are a) b) or c). People don't usually come wandering through my yard when someone's home and besides, I generally lock my car.

ETA: I use the term 'my car' loosely here, as it is actually [livejournal.com profile] mr_t00by's car. MY BABY HAS HIS OWN CAR.[/ETA]

*makes note of dates*

I don't know much about the hotels around here. There's a Holiday Inn nearby which isn't horrible.

I found my wallet! I may still go into Boston because there's a thing at a bookstore I want to go to.

It's a 1998 Honda Accord. Weird thing is it's identical, down to the year and colour, of [livejournal.com profile] croosa's car. And he didn't look for one to copy his brother, I don't think. ;)
