I have $.028 in the bank until I get paid tomorrow. I am NOT in any kind of financial state to travel. I do not have a functioning car. It's the middle of bleeping WINTER. And I? Am a grownup.

According to Mapquest, it's about 560 miles/900 km.

It's not as bad as you'd think. Cheaper than the train, for sure (which is the way I'd LIKE to go, actually).

well, i say indulge yourself. go and meet up with fangirls and ~~stalk~~ ask paul for an autograph. in my book those are the best experiences ever.

I'm not such an autograph person--I'd more likely sit and listen and sneak out quietly (even though I'm not really quiet, wtf?). The fangirl stuff, yes, definitely.

And oh, gods, what would I WEAR?

vsee said, pretty much. It might be the sort of thing you should get to if you can, because it's not like you're blowing money to go drinking with frat boys or something. I mean, depending on how far away and expensive it IS to get to, obviously, but it seems like the sort of thing you might really regret not doing.

Uh,just how expensive would this trip be? Is this the kind of emergency that ye olde credit carde can take care of? I am alll for doing the right thing and not racking up debt, but this is a unique experience, not some totally random, silly indulgence. And yes, I am being serious. :) I am assuming maybe the car is a lost cause for the moment, but you can take a bus or train.

I don't use credit cards, so that's out.

Car is a definitely lost cause at the moment. Bus is an option, but it's a long trip. Train is difficult to access. I will definitely think about it, though.
