I have $.028 in the bank until I get paid tomorrow. I am NOT in any kind of financial state to travel. I do not have a functioning car. It's the middle of bleeping WINTER. And I? Am a grownup.

See the part that says "Open to the public", and the other part that says "Admission is FREE"? Um, yeah. I just can't afford to GET there.

Uh,just how expensive would this trip be? Is this the kind of emergency that ye olde credit carde can take care of? I am alll for doing the right thing and not racking up debt, but this is a unique experience, not some totally random, silly indulgence. And yes, I am being serious. :) I am assuming maybe the car is a lost cause for the moment, but you can take a bus or train.

I don't use credit cards, so that's out.

Car is a definitely lost cause at the moment. Bus is an option, but it's a long trip. Train is difficult to access. I will definitely think about it, though.
