HAHAHAHAHAHAHANO. As far as political views go, at least; obviously, racism and homophobia and stuff make me run for the hills. But yeah, I DO have Conservative friends. *high-fives [livejournal.com profile] peacey* Contrary to popular belief, friends do let friends vote Republican. To err is human, after all. ;)

In sorta-related news, I've been asked by Ocean State Action to actually speak at a rally this afternoon. Eep.

ETA: Contact person called from Ocean State Action called and she says they don't need me to speak today, but they probably will in the future, and they DO need me to pass out fliers. I'm MORE than okay with this. *dodges bullet*

And now, may I present to you Christopher Walken's Story Time:

(Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] magicwoman for the link!)

In conclusion, a completely unrelated cartoon, because I like it:

(If you don't know why this is funny, go read about Woonsocket. If you want to really get geeky, go find this.)

To err is human, after all.

And that's exactly what a (slim) majority did in 2008.

Loves me some Walken. I was going to reply with one of the many Walken impressions out there (of which Jay Mohr is the best), but since everyone has heard those, thought I'd share my fave impression evah. Matt Damon impersonates Matthew McConaughey to an absolute "T".

I've seen this and I love it. Matt Damon is a bloody genius in general. :)

Omg, your intro....when I met my husband (he grew up in Attleboro), he would say things to me like that.. "throw me down the stairs my hat, shoes, etc.." and I would be like, wtf? are you saying??? Then he explained the lingo, and now we say that all the time. Oh dear, dying here.

Now, let me tell you about my bro in law who grew up in Bristol RI....

*sporfle*

*hugs*

Bristol is predominantly Portuguese, IIRC, so I figure that their idioms would be entirely different. I work with a lot of Portuguese people, so I'll have to listen.

Hehehee,no! Although I will challenge the answer to "five inches of snow", which should be "milk and bread", instead of "Dusting". Because RI panics when the forecast calls for a dusting, never mind five inches.
