I hate it when people do it no matter what. It's like in HP fandom when people would refer to Snape as "Snapey Poo" to be obnoxious to people who liked him. Or there was one person who always referred to Voldemort as "Morty". It always drove me crazy. (I could handle things that were sort of accepted nicknames like Voldie but "Morty" was just that irritating "pay attention to how clever I am!")
