"I view our nuclear arsenal as a deterrent . . . And the President must have all options available to make that deterrent have meaning."

Dear Mr. Bush,

In the immortal words of my beloved Smeagol...

LEAVE NOW AND NEVER. COME. BACK!

Thank you.

I somehow missed a rare opportunity to agree with Ronnie. A small glimmer of world-class sense from the man who brought us Star Wars defense, and gave the AIDS epidemic a giant head start against medical science.

Bush *must* go.

-.-

In order to stop people from using guns on you, you must have gunpower to overcome them. Just telling them to stop shooting you will do nothing.

Nuclear bombs are just so over-rated :p And Bush speaks about himself in the third person. He is an idiot.

So many warring opinions in myself!

If all the world were devoid of nuclear weapons, the knowledge of how to make one would still be out there and the scientists with that knowledge coupled with morals for purchase would go to the highest bidder. Then those that would prefer democracy wiped from the face of the Earth may actually be able to do it and we would have no way to stop them. The genie is out of the bottle, people, and there is no going back. It is folly to think that there will be a day when nuclear weapons don't exist. Unfortunate, but true. In my opinion, it's better to have them in our arsenal than be without and staring down to wrong end of them.

If we use nuclear weapons to stop them, we're signing the death warrants of not just the enemy, but the US and the entire world, IMO.
