Now, I know I've been through states on the way to Michigan (I went by bus), but I don't remember which ones. Probably Iowa or Indiana. *waves at wayfairer*

I only counted states I've either driven through or spent time in. I didn't count California, because I only saw LAX on the way to Hawaii.

I'm such an East Coastie. I must rectify that. *bats eyes at peacey (I've been to Clarenceville on the Canadian border, lovey) and moonlight69*

See that little corner where Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky come together? That's exactly where I live. :) I was born and raised in WV and live right across the river in Ohio now. (My town is the most southern part of Ohio - the state doesn't claim us) (VBG)

Now is definitely not the most pleasant time of year to come visit Michigan unless you be a winter sports enthusiast or have a thing for shoveling. We've gotten more snow in the Saginaw valley this year than any I can remember since I was a little girl, and our cold "snap" has lasted over a month (though it finally seems to be breaking - highs actually hitting the low 30's!!). Summer is the best - you'd love Mackinaw Island during the Lilac Festival.

Just FYI, states I've been to: Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, DC (no, not a state per se), Massachusets, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, California, Nevada. Techincally I've been to Minnesota but I'm not counting it because it was just a layover in Minneapolis. The state I most want (yearn, crave) to go to but haven't yet is Alaska.

If I ever take a cruise, I'm doing one of those that go to Alaska. It's probably the only way I'll get to go there. *craves also*

Next time I go to Louisiana, I'm going without the family. I'm sure there are better restaurants in the French Quarter than Shoneys. *g*
