If anyone (in the US, that is) wants to call or write their representatives in support of equal marriage or any other issue, but don't know exactly who your reps are, go to the congress.org website. You can plug in your Zip Code, et voila! Your reps will be known to you.

Mine are Langevin, Chafee, and Reed (oh my!).

Your congresspeople/Senators need to hear from their constituents, or howthehell are they going to know how they feel, and more important, how they'll vote in upcoming elections.

Writing/Calling your representatives may be the most important thing (along with voting) you can do, in the Equal Marriage movement or any other. Go, shoo! Be informed, Grasshoppers. *bows*

Thanks for this. My reps are all Republicans :-L (McCain/Kyl/Flake) so writing to them isn't going to make a hell of a difference, I fear. *grumps*

There were already a few supporting comments sent to them by the lovely homophobes in the state of AZ.

My, what a lucky person I (mostly) am...although I know who my reps are, I didn't expect (duh)...GW to be among them! Not representing ME! Gag, ack! Otherwise: Kennedy, Kerry, Meehan. The Good Guys.

A few years ago (during the Clinton Years) I wondered: why is Teddy still at it? Why doesn't he retire, and enjoy some time at his beautiful home, with his wife? Now I implore: "Teddy, we need you! Never, ever go!" Thank good ness for Ted Kennedy. No surprise that he was among the first to try and slap ol' GW upside the head after his (GW's) historic announcement that he was endeavoring to be the first President to purposely build prejudice into our Constitution.

I don't know Meehan. I like Kennedy, politically, a lot. He would thwap Dubya like that. Good for him.

As for Kerry, um. I'll vote for him in Nov.

One of your reps last name is "Langevin"?? My first majormajor crush had that same last name. He was Canadian and a minor league hockey player. *crushes*

I don't think Rep. Langevin has played any hockey for a while. He uses a wheelchair; has for years.

You may be surprised to know that my favourite of these three guys is Sen. Lincoln Chafee (R, Rhode Island). If he ran for president, I'd seriously consider voting for him. *loves*
I really admired his Dad, Sen John Chafee (also R. Rhode Island).
