Apr. 10th, 2004 08:48 amI'm finally getting around to this
1: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:
"happy, and began to cry too. The girls ran out, exclaiming" (E.M.Forster, Maurice)
2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?
My printer.
3: What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Condy Rice testifying at the 9/11 hearings.
4: WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what the time is:
9:02am.
5: Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?:
8:52am.
6: With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?:
Random noises outside.
7: When did you last step outside? About twenty minutes ago. What were you doing?:
Putting my plants out in the sun (two Swedish Ivy, two Spider Plants).
8: Before you came to this website, what did you look at?:
This was the first.
9: What are you wearing?:
Burgundy pullover over yellow t-shirt, grey sweatpants, Birkenstocks (in other words, my pyjamas, except for the shoes).
10: Did you dream last night?:
Yes.
11: When did you last laugh?:
Last evening when Oldest Kids and Oldest Son's gf came over for dinner. Caleb is teh funneh.
12: What is on the walls of the room you are in?: Pink paint, a picture collage of my kids, a photo of Rodman's Hollow during shadblow (when the shad bushes bloom), two Pysanki eggs hanging from the thermostat that
mr_t00by made in school.
13: Seen anything weird lately?:
Not really, which is weird in itself.
14(a): What book are you currently reading?:
Finishing up The Mayor of Castro Street: The Life and Times of Harvey Milk but having trouble keeping my mitts off Maurice
14(b): What is the last book you finished?:
The Belgariad, Volume 2, omnibus edition.
15: What is the last film you saw?:
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
16: If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?: An iBook or something similarly Mac-y(shut up,
patchfire), then a house.
17: Tell me something about you that I don't know:
Bobby Kennedy was killed on my 7th birthday.
18: If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?:
Bobby Kennedy would never have been killed (see last question). The whole world would be different.
19: Do you like to dance?:
Sometimes, but I haven't recently.
20: What is the last thing you ate or drank?
Coffee.
21(a): Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?:
Well, it's already happened, so...Mary. If I had another girl, she'd be Niamh, or Ceilidh. I think. Or maybe Ruth. I've always loved the old fashioned names: Ruth, Alice, Martha, er. Mary.
21(b): Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?:
That's easy, too. My first boy was Caleb. *g* I'd name a new boy Aidan or Conor.
22: Would you ever consider living abroad?:
I want to. I hope to someday.

Date: 2004-04-10 07:49 am (UTC)Oh, how I want one of these.
That all people (me included) would heed the teachings of Jesus.
I've said this for years. Whether someone's Christian or not, there'd be instant world peace if this happened. Also the teachings of the Buddha. I tell ya, Buddhism draws me. The nonviolence, the mindfulness, the No Harm to Anyone. It sounds a lot like the teachings of Jesus, actually. Those guys should form a committee.
