British citizens, and other visitors to American shores, virtual or actual, please. If you want actual American News, you're better off with PBS, or even the ubiquitous and banal CNN than Fox. Really.

Of course, IMO, you're better off with a jelly doughnut telling you the news than Fox. At least they're sweet. :)

Yeah. :/ The blatant partisanship is killing me. Not to mention the creepy nationalistic spin on everything.

Everybody accuses NPR of bias, but they just interviewed a woman who's husband is in Iraq and supports Dubya 100%.

I adore Fox News. I also adore John Gibson. I agree with him about 99% of the time. Incidently, that clip is a segment on his show at the very end wherein he gives his own personal views on things - it is not a hard news segment. His "My Word" segment is NOT how hard news is reported on Fox. Yes, it leans to the right, however EVERY OTHER news outlet leans left (and NPR is the most at guilt of this. The lady they interviewed supports Bush. I'll bet the interviewer doesn't.)

I happen to agree with the clip you linked to. I also happen to *like* the pride they have in our country. I like the flags on the lapels. I do not and can not understand why showing pride in your country is wrong. It is not a sign of being right or left, Republican or Democrat.

I also heart Bill O'Reilley. He's pompous and full of himself, but I also agree with him 99% of the time.

A jelly donut will indeed give you your recommended daily allowance of sweetness AND it has about the same accuracy in spouting news as the New York Times. ;)

I don't have a problem with flags on lapels.

I do have a problem with biased news, and I think Fox has it.

Bill O'Reilly is a (self-proclaimed) traditionalist. I really don't have many qualms about him, as I believe he's entitled to his opinion.

I have NO problem, AT ALL, with a conservative viewpoint. Just dont' tell me that it's the only way to believe. And darling, you know that I say the same thing about the liberal viewpoint. WBAI quite often makes my blood boil, because people on the extreme ends of anything never look at the whole picture. Knee-jerk is knee-jerk, no matter the affiliation, and I have no respect for it. And, IMO, Fox is quite knee-jerky.

I think they should do the news in drag. Not that it would make the news actually any better or more factual, but they'd be a darnsite prettier.
