It's a very emotional book... I can't remember the last time I cried so much (and not always from sadness, mind you, but). :|

I think part of it is that it's the last, final book, and there's no walking into a new part of the story again. I've spent so many years with these people, they feel like family. I don't want to know what happens next--I'm already wincing when I turn every page--and yet I almost can't wait to know what happens next.

I don't want to know any spoilers at all, but even if things turn out better than I'm expecting, it'll be a while before I can reread it *sigh*

Oh, and Stephen King was at the Sox game last night. Ah, retirement. :D
