(no subject)

I think I hate Starcraft. My kid has become addicted to it, and it's almost impossible to get to the PC anymore. This thing takes two hours. Last night I went to Barnes and Noble while he was playing, stayed a LOONG time, and when I got back he was still playing. So I watched the Red Sox instead, go me. It wasn't a total loss, though, I bought Shippey's "Tolkien: Author of the Century" book. Like I need another book on Tolkien. What I really want is the unabridged audiobook (the good one, not the one with all the silly voices, and not the BBC radio thing, either, though that's pretty good). If I stopped spending my money on books I might have enough to fork over the hundred or so bucks the cassettes cost.

Going to see the Bourne Identity today. What I hear is that Matt's really good, and Franka's the token chick. I hope not, she deserves better than that. Eh, I'll have a review later anyway.
