I went to bed at somewhere around six last night and slept until 7:45 this morning (would have been longer if the phone hadn't woken me). Then I went for a tour of Johnson and Wales University with
mr_t00by's and
dmgrl1026's (and Other Brother Caleb's) sister Hannah (AKA Youngest Daughter), accompanied by her father and her father's Toyota Prius (which did not take the tour but instead sat in the parking lot awaiting our return). Father was as annoying as usual, Prius was lovely. I want one. Hybrid, yum. *dreams*
Johnson and Wales also was lovely. We're thinking, yes, yes.
*ahem* Anyway. After that I rode my shiny purple bicycle to the walk-in treatment centre down the road (which is graced with the uber-original and creative name of "The Treatment Center"). I was told A. That I had to wait "just for a bit", because there are "a couple of people ahead" of me.
Over an hour later, I was told B. that I could come on back and see the doctor. I waited, oh, twenty minutes in the new place, after which the doctor told me that C. I had an eye infection. Ow. I knew that.
So I have a prescription for drops and a note to get off work tonight. Well. It turns out that I wasn't scheduled; long, convoluted reason, mostly due to the odd and incomprehensible scheduling system at my place of employment.
Then a lot of other things happened, including riding my bike in the rain, trying to use a broken pay phone, eating "Chinese" food (I maintain that most Chinese restaurants in the US aren't much more than Asian-ed up American ones) and not getting my prescription yet because I didn't want to ride my bike in the rain to CVS to pick it up.
So. Now I'm home and my eyes hurt and I shouldn't be staring at my monitor. But. I did want to post the cool new meme circulating, so here it is:
