Apparently Starbucks employees in Maryland are asking breastfeeding women to cover up or go in the restroom. And the women are fighting back!!

Here's [livejournal.com profile] emmagrant01's take on things: What she said.

I hate Starbucks so much.

Oh, and wtf? Why are my hands all dried out even when I've been using gloves to clean all day? Hmph.

Well. I'm obviously on a motherhood roll today.

Breastfeeding in a Time of War.

One quote:

Continental Airlines spokesman Rahsaan Johnson told me that the airline does not have a policy that prohibits breast-feeding on board. But Wolfe says a flight attendant told her that if someone - anyone - complains, the mothers are supposed to change diapers in the bathroom and nurse at the back of the plane. This has its own unpleasant connotations, never mind the fact that passengers must stay in their seats during takeoff, landing and turbulence.

Woah. And the rest of it is worse.

*sings* Come on over to the front of the plane; I'll be nursin' up there. *raises fist high*

Okay, those of you in/around the Mass/CT/RI region...can anyone give me referrals to gynecologists who would treat fibroids but who wouldn't necessarily want to take out my uterus? 'Cause, I might have use for it yet, an' all.

Women who've had kids preferred, but the no hysterectomy thing takes precedence in this case.

Anyone?
