A Music Post, because I'm feeling spammy and tuneful. *GGG*

Comment if you take? Otherwise I feel like I'm posting in a vaccuum.

And that sucks. *rimshot*

Pete Seeger and Arlo Guthrie - Precious Friend

Art Garfunkel - Waters of March (for [livejournal.com profile] geoviki, because I love her writing and I'm not sure she has this version and she needs help upping the fandom age. :D)

Sweet Honey in the Rock - We Are (for [livejournal.com profile] taradiane, for being [livejournal.com profile] taradiane, and because I never hear this song without thinking of her. *loves*)

Robert Palmer - Housework. Music to clean to.

Robert Palmer - Aeroplane. It's part of the inspiration for my LJ layout (which is back again, go figure).

The Flash Girls - Riding the Flame/Little Beggarman. The Girls sing Neil, and all is well with the world.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - The Ballad of Curtis Lowe. It took my seventeen-year-old daughter to reintroduce me to this. So good.

Alanis Morrissette - Still. This is from the Dogma soundtrack. It's how I'd like to think of God, when I think of God. I may have posted it before. Deal with it.

I have three Elton John songs, the last ones on Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy, that I was going to post, but I think I'll give them their own. They deserve it, and I want to make sure I pimp them share them appropriately.

Oh, so much love for Sweet Honey in the Rock. I got to see them live once, and have never forgotten.

And Flash Girls! Woo!

Ooh, very nice sounds! Most of them unknown to me but new music is always good :)

Most of them are older than dirt, but most are also pretty timeless. The Pete Seeger one reminds me of my grandmother, because she actually used to use the phrase "soft soap". *g*

Mmm. Thanks, I don't have this version. I have a lot of other versions.

(Just got back to town, trying to catch up on lj....)
