Well. I'm obviously on a motherhood roll today.

Breastfeeding in a Time of War.

One quote:

Continental Airlines spokesman Rahsaan Johnson told me that the airline does not have a policy that prohibits breast-feeding on board. But Wolfe says a flight attendant told her that if someone - anyone - complains, the mothers are supposed to change diapers in the bathroom and nurse at the back of the plane. This has its own unpleasant connotations, never mind the fact that passengers must stay in their seats during takeoff, landing and turbulence.

Woah. And the rest of it is worse.

*sings* Come on over to the front of the plane; I'll be nursin' up there. *raises fist high*

I miss my babies.

Good lord.

Nursing my kids on the plane was the best way to equalize the pressure in their ears and keep them from screaming during descent.

The rest of this article is mind-boggling. Horrifying.

Maybe this is me being closed-minded, but I really do think diapers should be changed in the bathroom. Human waste is not to be messed with, and an area that can be sanitized easily, like the bathroom, makes more sense as a changing station.

Breast-feeding? Meh, who really cares? Kids gotta eat. Just have manners about it. (Hey, I have table manners, so...)

I agree...diapers should be changed in the bathroom if the bathroom in question has decent facilities for it. If someone's afraid their baby will fall into the toilet? Not so good with the decent facilities.

Oh yes, because if you don't keep them from crying, everyone will glare at you and say 'why don't you do something about that damn kid!' Then you nurse them if they cry, and they say 'why don't you do something about that damn boob!'

*shakes fist*
