Rock Star
You scored 96%!

You damn rock star. You know all the basics, and if you got any wrong,
I bet it was that stupid Traveling Wilburys question.
Your friends are probably intimidated by your knowledge of classic rock
and envy your impressive collection. When a classic rock song comes on
the radio, you can probably identify it before the vocals kick in most
of the time. You probably get good scores on the "maiden name of
Clapton's mom" tests, too.

Um. The test said I got ALL of the questions right. 51 out of 51 (yes, even the Traveling Wilburys question). Why do I only get 96%? I demand my 100%, d00d.

Yes, I know what was in the Traveling Wilburies, and I of course by virtue of my age a lot classic rock is a cinch. But I don't have the scope of musical knowledge that you have, dear Prim, so I think this outcome nails me pretty well:

The Seeker
You scored 66%!
I don't know if you've been searching low and high, but you do know your bare-bones classic rock basics. With this kind of score, you probably nailed the signature song questions and most of the albums. You probably don't have much of a classic rock collection yourself, but when your friends play theirs, you recognize the songs. This is a respectable score: you're neither know-nothing nor nerd.

I think ADD has a lot to do with it. I lived Rock'n'Roll in my teen years (like I don't now?), because once I heard a song I liked, I hunted it down and caught it for my own. I don't remember meeting my first boyfriend, but I do remember buying my first real record album (Elton John, without the extra remastered stuff). I still remember the smell of the cardboard record jacket and how I pronounced Caleb Quaye's name wrong ([livejournal.com profile] croosa would be amused, seeing as how I named him, an' all *g*).

I still love music just as much, the difference being I've included the wider world of music to join the rock 'n' roll. But I still remember the smell of that cardboard and the feel of grooved music under my hands.

I got the Traveling Wilburys right, too, dammit. I think I missed a couple of lyrics, though.

But age makes that 4% difference, apparently. I scored 100%. I am now going to quit my day job and write for Rolling Stone.

Not unless you know Eric Clapton's mother's maiden name (I don't).

I know I got one lyric question wrong and probably the one about who closed out Woodstock. But I had the Wilburys album.

d00d. I still DO have the Wilburys album. Somewhere. Actually, I have both of them. Wilburys 1 and Wilbury's 3. There was no two, in memory of Roy Orbison. Does that count as a trivia question? :)

Oh yeah, it definitely counts.

Also, if you want to laugh.... http://www.theonion.com/content/ One of the funniest "issues" I've yet seen.
