This is good news for me and cool for all of us MBTA fans!

The bad news is, so far I can't get this Saturday and Sunday off. Because my workplace has its collective head up its arse when it comes to scheduling. So it's very possible I'll only be able to go for two days of TWH, which sucks.

But yeah, the T.F. Green Commuter Rail stop. Good news.

And also, here's a trailer for The 1980 Feel-Good Film of the Year.

Oh, and. If anyone has the entire mp3 of my Current Music, can I have it? I only have half of the song I got from some sample on the Net.

Please? Because it's a bloody beautiful song.

ETA: Changed trailer link because I AM A t00b.

Heeeeeeeeeeeeere's JOHNNY! Oh, God, I love that movie with a wild devotion. This and the original Exorcist -- and a few moments of The Ring -- are the only movies that have ever succeeded in actually scaring me.

I remember, when I was in the 7th grade, by the end of the year, our English teacher just didn't want to teach anymore, so she let us watch The Shining during the last week of school. A bunch of 12-year-olds. R-rated movie, with naked dead chick in the bathtub and gallons of blood and a father who loses his mind and tries to kill his family. When I let it slip to my mother (because I was having nightmares every night and started taking showers in the morning because I was scared to get in the shower at night), she was up at the school and had the principal all over that woman like white on rice. To this day it's one of my favorite movies ever.

Would you believe I've never seen this film all the way through? I'm sure I've seen the entire movie, in fits and starts, because it was just waay too scary for me (not like books--I can read scary books). The trailer that makes it look like a family film, though...too, too funny.

I do want to see SK's version, though. He hated Kubrick's production (your Trivia of the Day, whee!), so he did his own.

He hated Kubrick's production -- Yeah, I remember him saying that when the miniseries came out. Funny, I think SK is one of the greatest writers EVAR, but movies? Meh, I don't like his taste at all. I didn't think the miniseries Shining captured the essence of his book nearly as well (for me) as Kubrick's movie! Largely because Kubrick's movie scared the bejesus out of me, but the miniseries was just sort of dull and special-effectsy, with that horrible kid with the buck teeth (hate that kid)....

The Stand was great, though. And there are other SK films that I like--The Green Mile, Hearts in Atlantis (although my peeve was it didn't work if you didn't know the Dark Tower story, and most who saw it didn't), The Shawshank Redemption (even if the ending was TOTALLY different. It was Morgan Freeman, fergodssake!)

::bounces up and down::

A rail station at TIF Green? That would be awesome!! Maybe then the commuter rail would run on weekends too! :-)

Settles down and becomes concerned- but where do you think they will put it? I'm off to look at maps...

I dunno where they'd put it. I think there's some space over there in Warwick. I'd have to look at maps, as well.

I'd rather take public transportation than anything. It's so easy to get a bus from my place to Green, and if I could just go from there to Boston? Geebus, I could even get a job in Boston if I wanted to.

Crowds I can deal with. I hate to drive, for the most part, so crowds'd be a minor price to pay.
