2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Roland. He was never a favourite character until the last few books. But ohhh, Roland. *sigh*

3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: I love 'em all, but I guess I'd say Susannah, because she doesn't incite sighs and angst until late, late in the story.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Blaine. Yeah, I stole that from karabou. It's still true.

5. The character I used to love but don't any longer: There isn't one.

6. The character I would shag anytime: Eddie, Eddie, Eddie.

Auld lang syne, nothing. I might not be in the fandom proper anymore, but I still love the story, the movie, the everything about LOTR.

1. The first character I first fell in love with: Sam. Ever and always. I still say that someday I'm going to find Sam for my ainsel. *g*

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Eowyn. Well, I guess I loved her from the start, but geh. I've come to realise that I really want to be her when I grow up. Maybe not in the warrior sense, but certainly in the "I know what I want and dammit, I'm going to do it despite what the universe says is my place" way.

3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Arwen. Please don't kill me. She's just never done it for me. *shrugs*

4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Hmm. Gollum? I grok him completely, although I'm not sure that everyone else hates him.

5. The character I used to love but don't any longer: I don't have an answer for this one.

6. The character I would shag anytime: Movie!Frodo and Movie!Pippin. Also Eowyn, from any medium.

7. The character I'd want to be like: Sam. Why yes, he's my favourite character, why do you ask?

8. The character I'd slap: Pippin. Because I agree with Gandalf.

I miss the X Files. I still go back and read fic. For instance, Torch's brilliant Northwest Passage series (M/K), and Annie Sewell-Jennings' Erosion (MSR), which broke me into little pieces and had me bawling like a baby the first time I read it. Guh.

So, *ahem*.

The first character I first fell in love with: Mulder. Beautiful, damaged, emotional, dorky Fox Mulder. The show just wasn't the same for me when he left. I was an unabashed Mulderist (for those of you who remember the Mulder v. Scully deathmarch). I still am. The Truth? Is still Out There.

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Probably Scully. See above. Back then, it was either one or the other who could be first and foremost. Rewatching parts of the series with a nostalgic eye reminds me how cool Dana Scully really is.

The character everyone else loves that I don't:Walter Skinner. Mneh. I think he's boring. Mitch Pileggi is probably a very nice man, but I find Skinner mostly yawnworthy.

The character I love that everyone else hates: CSM, although, like Gollum, probably not many actually hate him. He's too cool to hate.

The character I used to love but don't any longer: There isn't one. This is getting to be a pattern, isn't it?

The character I would shag anytime: Alexei, Alexei, Alexei, oh, oh, yesyes. peacey, you knew that. Not-so-coincidentally, Nicholas Lea is the actor I first fantasy-cast as Dark Tower!Eddie. *drools, lusts, swoons, lovessomuch* Oh, and wouldn't a HP/XF crossover be just divine? Draco/Krycek. *g*

The character I'd want to be like: Mulder. And I am, a bit.

The character I'd slap: Also Mulder. I'm v. Muldercentric, apparently.

A pairing that I love: Mulder/Krycek. Also Mulder/Scully. And no, I'm not contradictory. Deal with it.

A pairing that I despise: Scully/Skinner. *scrubs brain*

The first character I first fell in love with: Draco Malfoy, almost immediately, even before I discovered fandom.

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Canon!Neville Longbottom. He's brave and loyal and true and kind. He's very Samwise-ish, which is a big part of why I love him (and I just figured this out, woah. *g*)

The character everyone else loves that I don't: Dumbledore. I think he meant well, and I think he was basically a good man, but in the end he's half-responsible for every bad thing that's happened to Harry since he was eleven. He may have thought it was necessary for the Cause to use, and yes, even sacrifice Harry, but Dumbledore has been manipulating Harry's life for years, and there's something SO not right about that.

The character I love that everyone else hates: Draco. I know, I know, he's popular in fandom, but really. Tell the average reader-on-the-street that Draco Malfoy's your favourite character and their wtf? face will show up almost immediately, along with them saying things like, "Are you nuts?! Draco's Evil! He's a Bully! He's this, he's that, howcanyoulikehim?". Just try it sometime. I have, believe me. :/

The character I used to love but don't any longer:Again, don't have one.

The character I would shag anytime: Remus Lupin. And fall head-over-heels in love with and marry and have his cubs babies. If not for the fact that he's (and I'm directly quoting Neil and Terry here) gayer than a tree full of monkeys on nitrous oxide. Which might be why I crush on him so. I tend to do that.

The character I'd want to be like: Harry. Because he doesn't want to do it and does it anyway. I wish I could be like that.

The character I'd slap: Draco. Because as much as I adore him, he deserves it. :)

A pairing that I love: Harry/Draco. OTP to the tenth power or so.

A pairing that I despise: Harry/Ginny. And now it's canon. *headdesk* I'll read it if JKR writes it, but otherwise? I'd rather read Dumbledore/Grawp. Well, okay, almost. Snape/Grawp, then. Note: THIS IS NOT AN ASPERSION ON H/G WRITERS. It's the pairing itself that makes me nauseous, not the writers.
