Wait just a minute, now. Paul Gross WROTE Men With Brooms? Okay, now I really want to see it.
Speaking of rocking on (and yet another Paul), what does it say about me that my current music is probably one of my top ten favourite songs ever? Might even make the top five. I mean, geebus, read the lyrics, d00ds.
'Course, the same squeeing love applies to Elton and Bernie's masterpiece of Deep Meaning, Solar Prestige A Gammon. That one's even a lj interest. *adds Monkberry Moon Delight to list, also, encourages
songdog to do the same*
Monkberry Moon Delight. It's not just a song, or even a soap anymore. Now it's a movement.
P.S. #2.
peacey, where are you? Could we liek, make a date to actually (well, okay, virtually) talk to each other? I miss you. *pines away*

Date: 2006-07-28 02:52 am (UTC)How could I not? I remember the first time I heard it, sometime shortly after its release in May 1971, on a Saturday night while sleeping over Diane's house. Although she and I were mostly infatuated with our 45 rpm records, one of us would occasionally get an album. When she got "Ram", we were both quite taken with "Monkberry", as well as "Eat At Home", and "3 Legs"...and..."Smile Away"...and....yes, "Uncle Albert"....
But what is my current music that I've had a need for all evening? "Tales From The Vienna Woods", Johann Strauss.

Date: 2006-07-28 03:45 am (UTC)I was exactly the opposite. I loved the 45s, but I was all about the albums.

Date: 2006-07-28 04:29 pm (UTC)If I AM able to get online tonight, I will look for you. I'm over here in Pacific Time, so 8:30 is 5:30 for me. My body still doesn't understand.
Oh, and what's the URL for that site with all the pictures of hands?
I'm sorry about your Auntie, but yay for a good long life.

Date: 2006-07-29 03:11 am (UTC)Thanks for the auntie condolences, but yes, she lived a full, long life. She'd been to Austrailia, Japan, all over Europe and went to Ireland no less than four times.
As for our date, name the time and I'm there. Seems my schedule just cleared as I am now, officially, unemployed. Go me! I didn't even have to call my boss a prick. Starting Monday, my life revolves around my book. Finally. Finally.
