Questions for tecchie-types:
Try as I may, I can't make a screencap with VLC. I've looked at tutorials and done everything I've been told to, changed the location to the desktop, and also I've changed the picture to jpg instead of png (it didn't work with png, either).
Supposedly something should appear in the upper corner (right? left?) and then I take it from there and do something else. How do I make this work?
Also, will it work with a DVD as well as with a file already on my computer? I'm trying to make it work with a DVD now, but I've tried and failed to make screencaps from saved files as well. Help?

Date: 2006-10-11 11:39 am (UTC)I could become addicted to this. I can see me a month from now, glued to VLC, living on kettle corn and Mike's Hard Lime, disheveled, sleep-deprived, babbling incoherently.
