It's a damn shame that the Texas neocons couldn't recognize the gem they had in him. I'm just glad that if RI did have to vote him out of office to "go blue" that at least the Dems won the Senate.
I can't see him ever going Democrat, but I believe he should go Independent.

I admire him for it, but he's not going to win points with the Republicans for it. It looks like he's pretty much made up his mind to leave, but isn't sure what comes next. Me, I'll support him no matter what his decision is. I always have. *loves*

I did totally think of you when I saw the RI results on election night. I rejoiced less for the Democratic victory in RI than any other victory, because I knew a good representative incumbent was losing his spot.
