Eric Schweig is Inuk and German. IIRC, Inuit and Métis aren't considered in the same ethnic group as First Nations, but I'm not sure how it's done. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Apparently he's played a lot of roles that are positive ones for indigenous peoples, and on top of that is a master carver. He's also not too shabby in the looks department. Always a plus. *g*
