I kind of feel the same way this year. Maybe because I have to host dinner this year and I'm really not prepared. I don't have a dinning room table so we're gonna have to do it buffet style. I feel rather childish and inferior doing that with my sister around cause she has this big, beautiful house complete with dinning room table. But, its my turn so I have to just buck up and do it.

We will get past this. We always do.

I can't get past the bloody cleaning up to even start to decorate. I'm not having dinner or anything, but I want it nice for when my kids come home. Bleh, I suck.

I'm having issues there as well. And after thinking about it quite alot, I have decided its because I've been doing it for so many DECADES! Literally. After my mother died, my sister and I kept up the whole thing. Tree, lights outside, little knick-knacks all over the house. And then, of course, I had my own kids and did it all over. Now I think I'm just tired. All but one little chickie is out of the nest and she's an adult now. In my mind, I've paid my dues. Somebody else can decorate!
