I posted this link elswhere (waves to malnpudl), and since I finally (re)figured out how to make clips in MovieMaker, I figured I'd post it here, too, because hard work shouldn't go to waste, an' all.

It's from S&A 3.04, so it's got spoilers up 'til then. I think it's my favourite scene in the whole series, although I'll probably come up with others. :D

If you're bored and wish to clip a whole best-of collection, here are my suggestions:

- The interview from s1 (*holds up "Art"-cup* "This is a crime!")
- s2, ep1, where he's in bed with Ellen ("What, firm young actors?") because I'm a girl
- s1, ep5 - nekkidness!
- The last time he talks with the chair, because *sniff*

I will certainly come up with more, but those are the first ones that come to my mind.

Yay! Excellent clips. When I can be bothered I'd love to get Geoffrey snarling "Turtles!" as a wav file so my computer says it everytime something goes wrong.

I gave my brother and sister-in-law S&A 1 for Christmas - spreading the love beyond lj. It's an apostle's duty.

I still haven't figured out why he says that. It's so...random. There's either something very obvious I'm missing, or it's just supposed to be random. Which doesn't make sense, because Geoffrey's unstable, but he doesn't usually say things that don't make sense, at least to him.

Of course, *looks askance at your icon* I could be wrong.

If you do get the .wav, I'd love a copy. *g*

It is very random. I have two theories.

1. His psychiatrist in the asylum suggested he had a word that he used to vent in circumstances where he was getting out of hand.

2. It was a shout out to CKR - "Look, Ray! Turtles!"

Best I can come up with.

Of course you can have a copy of the hypothetical .wav. It will require less laziness on my part, however, so we might be looking at 2009.

Also, maybe Geoffrey has Dissociative Identity Disorder.

It gets annoying, because this other personality is a buttoned-up Mountie named Fraser who doesn't drink and jumps off buildings. He can quote Shakespeare, though, Geoffrey'll give him that.

And don't even get Geoffrey started about how he once lost five hours and found himself outside a curling rink in Long Bay, Ontario. He's pretty sure Fraser didn't take him there, and he's afraid to find out who did.

Then there was that time he went to Parliament Hill...or maybe that was just a terrible dream.

Oliver's separate, because he's not actually living inside of Geoffrey although he probably wouldn't turn down the opportunity.

Everyone else could be hallucinations. Who knows, maybe Geoffrey isn't even real. Maybe it's all a wildly vivid dream of some imaginative army brat from Alberta, brought on by staying up too many nights reading books with REALLY BIG WORDS.

Now if you were feeling very kind, then you could perhaps maybe create a clip of the scene I have described from 3.02 so that I do not need to keep reopening the whole episode file and finding the exact point where he walks into Andrew McTeague's office...;-)
OR....a similar clip from 3.03 when he goes to Andrew after shooting up Charles for the first time....................:-P
