I really shouldn't be thinking about this at all. Really. But would I not be crazy if I didn't at least consider it? I mean, look at this year's season, gah. I could see both Othello AND King Lear. On or near my birthday, which would definitely help me forget how elderly I am. Well, okay, maybe King Lear might remind me, but still. I'll keep me clothes on, thanks.
Dear Ontario,
Every time I think about visiting, I never seem to be able to go. Do you hate me, or is it just bad timing?
I'm sure I'll like you, despite what Stan Rogers wrote about you.
Love,
Me.
If I'm even thinking about this, it's definitely time to pick up some extra shifts. And get my bloody passport. Thanks a lot, US government. *glares*

I don't think I need to friend you if you don't post in your LJ, but if you ever start, let me know. Feel free to opine away in my LJ, otherwise my own rantings will sound vain and self-centred, and I'm not really like that at all. :)

Hope you get to go, though. Stratford is wonderful.

On a related note, I love this song, although shh, don't tell Ontario. I want to have the Arrogant Worms' little slithering babies:
The Arrogant Worms - The Toronto Song.
Having never been to Toronto, I have no idea why this song amuses me so.

I know I've heard this before, years ago, but I'd forgotten its brilliance.
LOL! They even got "Alan Thicke sucks" in there. And Calg'ry sucks? :) Too artsy and left-wing for the rest of Alberta, meaning there's one wine bar and 3 openly gay people.

IIRC, k.d. lang wasn't ostracized from the country and western scene because she was gay (they didn't know it at the time), but because she was anti-beef industry. Which in Alberta is probably close to what it is in Texas. There's a parallel there somewhere. They both even have oil, woah.
I've never been to a wine bar in my life. I know we have them, but I obviously have not lived.

Confession - I've never been to a wine bar either. But it sounded good. *blushes*

I want to go to a wine bar, dammit! *googles*

And yes Ontario is the Centre of the Known Universe. The rest of Canada freeloads off of us. (* Waits for thrown tomatoes* ) Seriously, though, I've lived in Ontario and out of it, and I'm starting to see more and more why it's the best place to be in Canada. And once upon a time I thought B.C. was the best place to live anywhere. Anywhere.

Tell that to the Capers. They'll throw fish at you. I don't exactly know how they feel about Ontario in general (because, well, I'm not one) but I imagine they can't be all too happy with Ottawa specifically these days.
