I'm all about travelling these days. I'm sick to death of Rhode Island and need to Get away. Now that I've found out how cheap hostels are, I plan on doing it more often. I might even get out your way next year, depending on airfare rates. Whee!

Just don't try to fly into my local airport (McKinleyville) because it'll break the bank -- adds several hundred dollars to a round trip ticket. If/when the time comes, look at flights into Oakland or San Francisco, and I'll drive down and get you.

I have this fantasy about taking the train across the country from Providence or Boston to California, but it's so time-sucking and costly I probably will never do it. And then there's my OTHER fantasy about doing the same thing in Canada. Although renting a car and driving the Trans-Canada would be fun, too, and probably cheaper. Woe, why can't I be independently wealthy?
