I'm also feeling the disbelief, but we'd be having a very different conversation if the Rs were still majority, and one decent guy or not, Chaffee would have kept 'em there.

Oh, yeah, and he knows it. He said as much in his concession speech, along with a lot of other disparaging remarks about the Republicans. I hope he runs for Governor of RI, actually. My guess is he'll be an Independent. I'd sort of make book on that one. *g*

What the fucking fuck? I just. There are no words for the depth of rage. Abstinence-only 'education' is one of those that makes my eyes roll back in my head from sheer hate. Study after study says game over, please play again and they still FUND it and I - ARGH!

It's amazing that despite the overwhelming evidence against this kind of thing being rooted in basic human physiology, it's still being brought up, over and over. The fact that the DEMOCRATS are doing it sends me into the Land O' Despair pretty fast. *cries*
